About Me

Hello! My name is Beza and I’m from Silver Spring, Maryland. Once I graduated from high school in 2020, I moved to New York City to attend college at New York Institute of Technology. I received my B.S in Computer Science after I graduated in May 2024.

I love learning how parts work in a system from a top-down approach; this translates within my studies as I seek to understand the inner workings of digital processes. I'm interested in semiconductor fabrication, computer networks, and computer architecture. I also aim to foster environments that are inclusive, open, and uplifting to unlock our best potential as people. Although I am currently looking for employment as a Software Engineer, I plan to someday find research oriented work with semiconductor devices.

National Science Foundation Award

Our research team used "Holographic Duality" to create analytical solutions on how elementary particles interact in an atom's nucleus. With the help of Holography, Quantum Field Theory, and mathematics, we translate between String Theory and "our world" of particle physics to find solutions describing their physical system. Internship, NSF Award #PHY-2014025.

● Maintained a detailed weekly documentation of our progress and corrections with LaTex Software.
● Collaborated to program interpretations of numerical solutions and gather data in Python and Mathematica.

● Trained on suicide prevention, Title IX, and conflict management to handle emergency incidents at the residency halls while on-call.

NYIT Course, "Digital Logic & Design/Computer Organization"

● Designed 10 supplemental lectures and lesson plans to enhance the students’ course mastery.
● Implemented tools we learned with application of sequencing/if-else/calculations, and structured organization techniques to interpret information more simply.
● Created practice problems and led discussions weekly on basic circuit fundamentals of digital computers through logic gates, Boolean and relational algebra, and Karnaugh Map grouping to develop better pattern recognition.
